In a previous article, we introduced a bit of the heart of Ilha Grande: Vila do Abraão, the main arrival point and the most popular place to stay on the island. From the Abraão pier, boats depart for some of the island’s most famous beaches, such as Lagoa Verde and Lagoa Azul, or even Praia do Pouso (Pouso Beach), from where you can visit Praia de Lopes Mendes, one of the most beautiful beaches on the island. There are also boat trips to more distant destinations like Praia do Aventureiro.

This is one of the best beaches around Vila do Abraão. You can reach Praia do Abraãozinho either by boat from the village or by hiking along a beautiful trail that passes through other beaches such as Praia da Júlia and Praia da Crena. The route is filled with breathtaking natural scenery and allows you to explore several beaches in a single day.
There are also beachfront kiosks and bars, making it a perfect place to spend a relaxing day. Since the waves are very calm, the beach feels almost like a natural pool, making it an excellent option for families with children.
